Colin Cheong

At the age of 6, Colin’s mother brought him to “The Empire Strikes Back”, his first cinematic experience, and at age 8, bought him his first Marvel comic. There was no turning back. Pop culture came a-knocking and Colin answered with an “Irasshaimase” and a big grin. To this day, Colin’s love affair with comics and film puts Scarlett and Rhett to shame.

Photography is an extension of this passion. To borrow Susan Sontag, photography is testament to time's relentless melt. It is a grasp at transience, a frame of memory and a glimpse into the soul.

With photography, I can listen to stories. I can tell stories.

Colin currently teaches Design Strategy and Communications and it is Colin’s hope that his students graduate unscathed by the dragons of ignorance, witlessness and ambivalence.
