Culture / A Moment of Annakut Festival

'Annakut' is the religious festival of cooking of rice (Anna) and many other veg dishes to offer to Lord Madanmohana, another name of Lord Krishna. The peak moment of the event, as depicted in the image, is the throwing of the offered rice in the afternoon from 1st floor of the temple to thousands of devotees in the ground floor, who were waiting for this moment for hours to collect somehow some holy rice.
