Every year, the Khmer people in southern Vietnam has many special cultural festivities, but the most three important events are Cholchnam Thmay taking place one week after the grave-visiting festival in the third month of the lunar calendar, Sene Dolta in late eighth lunar month and Ok Om Bok in the tenth lunar month Sene Dolta is celebrated in all villages of the Khmer people, but the cow racing festival, part of the Sene Dolta, is the most striking event which takes place only in the Bay Nui (Seven Mountain) region
