Life in Ladakh is very hard. In the cold desert area, the ladies remain always busy in their domestic as well as outdoor activities like feeding the yaks, collecting woods or dried yak dungs as fuel, etc. The only time they get some time to chat is during the weekly visit to the monasteries. I shot these ladies in the famous Lama Yuru monastery.
