'Dokra' or Molten wax casting method is a 4000 year old sculpture making method. The 'Durga' idol shows how she kills 'asura' or the monster in a fight to signify win of good over evil. The idol is built by the housewife behind who is behind all that is good in the family. So both the make & the maker depicts the power of the female & the mother in them to create all that is good in this world.
