Culture / Chhau dance

This is a mask dance in the district of Purulia in Bengal. Based on stories of Indian mythology,this dance performed in gorgeous costume involves a lot of acrobatics & movements. The image shows this perfrmance on a village field where it is enjoyed by one & all of the village.
