Grebeg Sudiro is a community celebration of the fusion of Chinese-Javanese. Grebeg word itself is a Javanese tradition to welcome special days such as: Mulud (the birth of Prophet Muhammad), Shawwal (Eid), Eid al-Adha, Suro (Javanese New Year). The highlight of this celebration is the capture of agricultural products, food, etc. are arranged to form a mountain. The tradition is based on the philosophy of Java seizure ora ora babah Mamah which means, if not try not to eat. Meanwhile, the shape of the mountain has the intent of the Java community over gratitude to the creator.
