People / No Way Out

In recent decades, the air pollution in Kathmandu has worsened, due to the rapid rise in the number of inferior quality vehicles on the traffic congested roads, as well as the unregulated location of industries, particularly brick manufacturing. The Nepalese government hasn't been able to keep pace with the rapid increase in demand for building construction, road infrastructure and other types of services due to the tremendous population growth. I took this photo when I was walking in a narrow street in Kathmandu. There was a traffic jam and the truck was exhausting a lot of waste gas. The motorcycles and I were trapped in this narrow street. We had no way out and our situation was very embarrassing.
