The residents of Sendangbiru Beach, Malang, East Java, ready to abandoned big tumpeng (rice cone) and dragon throne to the sea at Petik Laut Festival. This annual event featuring floating off offerings into the sea called The Labuh Semboyo, from dusk to dawn shadow puppet show, and music performances to express thanks to God and for abundant fish catches and to pray for safety on the water in the year ahead.
