People / Tumpeng Gede

Some Tengger residents compete for food and fruits in a Tumpeng Gede ritual in Ngadas village, Poncokusumo, Malang, East Java. This event is part of Feast of Karo. For Tengger tribe is a manifestation of gratitude for the blessings given by God as well as tribute to their ancestor.
