Nature / The Japanese Grey Heron

The Japanese Grey Heron is one many egrets or "Sagi" in Japanese that heavily illustrated in older Meiji period poetries and paintings. Some collections dated as long as 8th century Japan depicting the grey heron in it. When I was walking around the street in Gion district in Kyoto, I saw lots of people were taking picture of the egret. I was so fortunate the Gingko tree is right above the egret and looks exactly in older japan paintings, except mine is modern digital painting.
