Coconuts are harvested, its meat dried and sold for manufacture of various finished products in the province of Surigao del Sur, Philippines. This is the livelihood of this man in this photo. The process of harvesting coconut meat is arduous in that it has to be hand plucked from the tree which requires agility in climbing. After gathering the coconut, they are split open, dried under the sun and its meat carved out of the shell. This is the typical livelihood of people in this province.
