Culture / GODS AMONGST US

It was dusk. Walking alongside the holy Ganges for almost half an hour I reached Baghbazar Ghat (near Kumortuli)where I saw these large figures of Hindu deities. Out of curiosity I went a little closer and saw an elderly woman coming out of there after having her evening bath. The presence of the elderly woman amidst these divine figures and the incessant flow of the Ganges everything integrated in a sacred milieu. I had to capture the piety of that moment and i pressed the shutter.
