Kreativität Dance - Indonesia was formed as a non-profit contemporary dance company in September 1998 to create and perform contemporary dance works. It was founded with the purpose of fostering a greater appreciation of dance as an art form, and to give a medium for choreographers and dancers alike to express themselves.
The dance company is directed by its founder, Farida Oetoyo, who retains the position of Artistic Director. Chendra Effendy Panatan and Yudistira Syuman are the choreographers, and they create works for the company dancers, who are selected for their dedication, discipline and loyalty to their profession as artists.
