A group of men covered in red gulal, sing and play folk music to celebrate Lathmar Holi, the Hindu festival of Holi, also called festival of colors at Nandgaon village in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. Many ballad songs have been sung during festival of colors that held in the month of Phalgun, which usually corresponds to the month of March.
This exuberant festival is associated with the immortal love of Lord Krishna and Radha Rani, and hence, Holi is spread over 2 weeks in Barsana, Nandgaon, Goverdhan, Vrindavan as well as Mathura, the cities with which Lord Krishna shared a deep affiliation.
