Culture / Dance in Trance

This shot captures the two facets of modern day Turkish culture... the swirling Dervishes dance in a trance - oblivious to the world around them and keeping the traditional arts & culture alive, while the tourists take in everything around them, toting cameras - the symbol of the tourist culture. Mutually, both cultures support each other and keep each other alive in this conserved old railway station in downtown Istanbul.
