Culture / Sprinted toward the finish line.

"Pacu Jawi" (cow race) is a traditional race in the district Tanah Datar West Sumatra, Indonesia. The race is usually held after the harvest, and has been performed since hundreds of years ago. A jockey stands behind the cows while stepping on a runway plow, and to accelerate the pace of the cows by means of tail biting or hitting a cow's ass. Ratings are given based on the straight run or not the cows up to the finish line, and also time.
