People / Drying raffias

The people in the Mekong Delta grows the raffia trees at the paddies for many months. Then, they cuts it off by their hands and it'll be dyeing into very hot colorfully water which is boiled. After all the raffias gets dry totally, they'll be weaving and mixing up with different colors orderly. To be done, many middle men comes to buy a big quantities from the local people to deliver everywhere in Vietnam, Thailand, Taiwan, Cambodia and Laos. This is considered a traditional job to be taught by their parents from generations to another one because they have to know how to mix up with different colorfully raffias together before making a matting beautifully. It's wonderful to learn new things from the local people. In short: It's never got too old for us to keep learning.
