Being a Buddhist in Myanmar, young boys have to become a monk at least once in their life-time staying and studying the Buddhism at the monastery for about a week. Their parents proud for the ceremony as parents of the holey monks. As the age of 5 and above can participate in the ceremony, some of the young kids cry for their first experience to stay away from home without family members.
