Culture / Gajan of Rural Bengal 2

Gajan is a religious festival of rural Bengal, dedicated to Lord Shiva. Here, the Gajan "Sanyasi"s, who earned the right of worship in this event by a 7 days penance, performing the initial rituals on the final day. 'Sanyasi's are revered by all other villagers.
